Students recently had the chance to take a look behind the scenes of a BBC television studio.
HND Media Makeup students were given the opportunity to explore the studios with some local TV presenters.
They got a sense of what life is like behind the camera during a tour of a drama set and then got to explore the BBC’s archive of makeup continuity files.
Karen Lightley, Lecturer in Media makeup, said: “The tour allowed learners to gain knowledge and experience about a potential future employer. It gave them a valuable understanding of how media productions are created in front and behind the camera that will help prepare them for a career in television.”
