Funding and Support

 

Northumberland College have access to various funding streams available to individuals and businesses. More information can be found below.

 

Northumberland College have secured funding to assist organisations in the region with their workforce development.

The business funding supports employers in upskilling their employees via work-based learning and qualifications (NVQs) as well as college-based technical diplomas.

Our funding covers Level 2 QCF qualifications in a wide range of sectors and topics such as: construction trades, hospitality, hair & beauty, health & social care and engineering.

The government funds 90% of your Apprenticeship programme and employers contribute 10% of the full cost either through monthly instalments or via the levy pot (if you’re a levy paying organisation).

Your business could be eligible for £1,000 if you employ a 16-18 year old apprentice for at least 12 months.

Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to provide experience for someone, up your business resource and potentially get a grant of £1,000 from the Government.

Northumberland College have secured government funding to offer skills support to SMEs in the North East. The aim of this programme is to analyse and identify barriers to growth and prvide support in this area.

The support should be linked to training and development. We will conducrt a Training Needs Analysis, report our findings and source suitable training which is bespoke to your business.

This funding isa available to companies with fewer than 250 members of staff and less than €50 million turnover.

Examples of courses we have funded include forklift truck, NEBOSH, IOSH, management training, teacher training and much more.

We work closely with JobCentrePlus and other partners in the community to help people gain the skills they need to secure employment. We also assist Employers with their recruitment and prepare people with pre-employment training before they start work in areas such as Warehousing, Customer Service and Construction.Our Employability offer includes courses such as:
