This course is suitable for students who wish to follow a career in electrical, manufacturing or mechanical engineering.It is designed as a standalone, one year course of full time education in engineering, that develops an general understanding of engineering techniques and principles and supports progression onto a further level 3 course and into employment as an engineering apprentice.
You should have four GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above including English, maths and science or a relevant Level 2 qualification.

Teaching and assessment is a combination of externally set examinations and internally set assessments, dependent on units.
English and maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE maths and/ or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.
We have industrial links to engineering and offshore/renewable energy companies across the region.
Full time course Mon-Fri 09am - 4.15pm. Days and times of study are subject to change. Timetables are confirmed at the start of term.
