All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods. This could include direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task. All units must be assessed in line with the Skills for Care and Development Assessment Principles.
English and maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your chosen career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE maths and/ or English at school, we can support you to improve your skills.
Students will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement, as they need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.
To support your work / voluntary placement in a care setting we offer a taught session one half day every two weeks.
This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a lead adult care worker role in care settings and is suitable for adults who wish to work or are working in a lead role with adults in health and social care settings.
It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health and social care procedures.
The level 3 qualification meets requirements to confirm occupational competence and/or 'licence to practice' and Confirm competence in an occupational role to the standards required.
