This course is ideal if you would like to work in health and social care in jobs such as Care Assistant, Support Worker or Personal Assistant.
This course will motivate learners in their Health and Social Care ambitions to pursue further study and responsibility within the workplace.
Learners will develop knowledge and understanding by applying their learning and skills in a work-related context.
You will learn about working in the Health and Social care sector, anatomy and physiology, equality diversity and rights and safeguarding and spend time in a placement setting.
You should have two GCSEs at grade 4 or above or a relevant level 1 qualification. Good communcation skills are important, and DBS clearance and references required.

Your progress will be assessed by a range of methods to build a portfolio of evidence including practical assessments, presentation, observations and written assignments.
English and maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE maths and/ or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.
The course runs for 3 days per week. Days and times of study are subject to change, timetables are confirmed at the start of term.
