This is a second year of study for those who have completed Level 2 certificate in floristry. This one year course covers practical floral designs, weddings and funerals, display of floristry goods, function decorating and working in the industry.
This course is for those who have already completed a Level 2 Certificate in floristry (4 units)
Your progress will be assessed by a range of methods including practical assessments, observations, written assignments, and identification tests. Assessments are spread out and varied to allow your skills to develop. This year will also include function decorating and working in the industry training.
You will continue to attend college 1 day per week over the academic year. Each lesson will consist of theory, group work, lots of discussion, as well as practical floristry.
You will also be required to obtain work experience for a set number of hours
For this second year of study, you will continue with practical floristry designs including wedding and funerals, planted designs and function decorating. You will also look at window displays as well as industry requirements and health and safety.
