Vacancy Short Description:

Working as a Business Administration Apprentice within a Window installation company based in North Shields. Your job role be providing business admin support to the team


Training to be provided:

  • Business Admin Level 2 or Level 3 depending on previous qualifications.
  • Functional Skills if required
  • Employer training within the workplace


 Vacancy full description:

  • Greeting visitors and directing them to the appropriate member of staff
  • Answering face-to-face enquiries and providing information when required
  • Answering calls and relaying telephone messages, redirecting calls as appropriate
  • Booking jobs/projects on to the bespoke CRM system
  • Providing paper copies/work schedules to staff
  • Maintaining the general filing system and file all correspondence
  • Assisting in the planning and preparation of meetings, conferences and conference calls
  • Responding to public enquiries
  • Providing and sending out information
  • Data input
  • Sales and purchase order processing
  • Scheduling appointments and making cancellations
  • Maintaining client relationships
  • Processing and delivering internal and external mail daily
  • Ensuring that an adequate supply of stationary is available and re-ordering when necessary
  • Organising travel arrangements
  • Filing and retrieving paperwork
  • Providing refreshments for clients and visitors
  • Performing other duties as required
  • Performing other duties in accordance with business needs
  • Updating the company website
  • Updating and managing the Windows NE social media accounts – Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and Instagram.


 Skills required:

  • You will be customer focused and possess excellent administration and organisation skills
  • Excellent telephone and face to face communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A good knowledge of Social Media – Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram (Experience of this would be desirable)

Qualifications required: GCSE Grade A-C in Maths and English (or equivalent). Functional skills will be undertaken at College by applicants without this qualification.
