Kerry’s is a lively and welcoming salon which has been open for 3 years in Blyth, offering a range of treatments from waxing and brows to tanning and gel & acrylic nail treatments. The salon offers a great opportunity to work with clients and build your own client base, in a warm and bubbly setting, while receiving full training from an employer who is continuously developing and maintaining her own skills and techniques.
The successful candidate will gain an apprenticeship on Level 2 Beauty Therapist Standard, training will be provided in the workplace with a dedicated employer keen on personal development within the sector, and through one day in college during term time.
The successful candidate will gain an apprenticeship on Level 2 Beauty Therapist Standard, training will be provided in the workplace with a dedicated employer keen on personal development within the sector, and through one day in college during term time. The successful candidate will take client bookings via telephone, face to face and social media, general housekeeping and standards throughout the day will be expected as part of the team; including stock rotation where needed. Great customer service at all times will be expected, willingness to complete additional training and courses to support product and service development would be expected. The position would also include the use of the business social media to build on client base and promote current offers and services available.
Attention to detail and great customer service is required for this position. Pro-activeness in the role, positive listening skills and a dedication to learn the role and sector is also essential. Good personal Hygiene, friendly and driven qualities are also desired.
GCSE Grade A-C in Maths and English (or equivalent). Functional skills will be undertaken at College by applicants without this qualification.
Development onto the Level 3 Apprenticeship
This role is customer focused, you should be happy and comfortable working with people from all backgrounds. You must be happy to work weekends and additional hours over Christmas and summer months, as and when business needs require.
In addition to your apprenticeship programme, the employer may require that you attend additional training courses.
