Vacancy full description: Passionate about Motorcycles and customer service? We are too! Ian Bells Motorcycles are looking for a Motorcycle Showroom Ambassador who can share our passion for motorcycles and great customer service. Ideally they are looking for previous retail experience, but we are also very willing to consider someone with a great attitude who is looking for that first break into the motorcycle trade. Delivering a standard level of customer service is not enough! With Ian Bell you will need to genuinely want to take ownership of our customer’s needs, wants and desires. You will want to get fully involved with dealership events and rides, we live and breathe motorcycles – to us this is far more than just a place of work.

You will be responsible but not limited too:

  • Acting as a host within the Dealership, helping to ensure that all our customers are warmly greeted and looked after.
  • Assisting with the effective running of our busy sales, aftersales, clothing and accessories departments.
  • Helping to qualify the needs of our customers and in doing so determine the best way to help them.
  • Assisting in the upkeep of retail standards within the Dealership.
  • Assisting in the booking in and restocking of the merchandise and parts areas.
  • From time to time, assisting in our busy aftersales/service and valeting departments.


Skills required: Understanding and genuine interest in Motorcycles, Understanding/experience in Business Administration/office work, Self motivated, Excellent Customer Service skills, Target driven, Ability to talk to people over the telephone confidently, Attention to detail, Practical/logical thinker, able to follow instructions, ability to multi task, Communication, IT Literate, Customer Service, Works Accurately, be able to work as part of a team, Experience of working in an office environment, Experience of working in a customer service environment would be advantageous.

Personal qualities: The ideal candidate will have previous retail/customer service facing role experience of the motorcycle trade, but this is not essential. Ideally you should live in close proximity to the dealership. You must be:

  • Positive can do attitude and approach to work

  • Willing to learn and be involved

Qualifications required: GCSE Grade A-C in Maths and English (or equivalent). Functional skills will be undertaken at College by applicants without this qualification.
