AACS was founded in 1990, starting as a family business it has expanded to become a leading HVAC/R company in the North East. We specialise in working on a full range of systems from small split air-conditioning units to complex refrigeration projects. We are based in Sunderland and are ideally situated close to all the major routes which allow us to efficiently serve the North East. We also have completed numerous large projects Nationwide and across Europe.
With the increase in contracts, we are looking to recruit an Apprentice service engineer to further strengthen our established team of diverse engineers. You will be trained to a competent level over the duration of your apprenticeship, you will learn skills from experienced refrigeration and air conditioning service engineers.
You will be working alongside your experienced supervisor and working as part of a diverse team. Your duties will include:
Reactive response to a range of breakdowns in a range of large site environments along with smaller commercial sites and PPMs at sites as required.
You will learn to fault find.
You will learn to diagnose and repair within an acceptable time scale to meet our customer’s needs.
You will carry out the work to the required standards with efficiency and quality expected by your supervisor (with support and training).
You will be expected to work with in the terms and conditions of your contract of employment and adhere to company policies, procedures, instructions, values and behaviours.

ou will be required to work to the terms and conditions of your contract. You may be required to work early morning, late evenings and weekend on occasion. This is a very busy, high pressured & physical role, therefore attitude and behaviour is a key element for the successful candidate. You must be able to take instructions and act on them appropriately.
