Pre-Apprenticeship course - construction and engineering

The Ready for Work pre-apprenticeship course starting in January will support you on the path towards an apprenticeship.

Learn hands-on practical experience in several construction and engineering trades:

  • Plastering
  • Bricklaying
  • Carpentry
  • Plumbing

By gaining an overview of the four trades this will help you to decide which area you prefer to develop further in your training and career path.

Alongside the practical work you will also complete a personal development project and gain valuable skills to help you gain employment including teamwork, team leading, English and maths.

Course details

Start date: Monday 21 January 2019

Duration: 3 days per week for 20 weeks

 

On completion of the course you will be offered a guaranteed registration to our Apprenticeship Academy or interview for a full-time course in the skills area you choose to develop further. You will also receive advice and guidance from our Help Hub and careers advisors.
