 We are an established law firm based in Bedlington, Northumberland and we are seeking a Business Administration Apprentice to join our team.  This is an exciting opportunity for a bright, motivated and organised person to support the work of a small but busy legal office.

 If you enjoy keeping things in order and like being part of a team, this job could suit you perfectly. As an administrator, you would be making sure that day-to-day office tasks run smoothly. So, it’s important that you are organised, accurate and pay close attention to detail.

 

Training to be provided:

The right training. The right experience. Full training and Support on all aspects of the Job role will be provided. We will give you the practical work experience and qualifications you need to help secure a career in administration.

  • General administration and filling
  • Reception duties
  • Dealing with post
  • Arranging client appointments
  • Answering phone - Maintaining a pleasant and efficient telephone manner
  • Take full messages and give fee earner all relevant information to facilitate return call if required
  • Greeting clients
  • Operate office equipment such as fax, photocopier and computer as required
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post.
  • Provide bookkeeping support and help keep organised financial paperwork and records.
  • Setting up meetings and taking minutes.
  • Preparation of forms as appropriate, under the direction of a fee earner.
  • Assisting fee earners on files as and when required.

Qualifications required:

GCSE Grade A-C in Maths and English (or equivalent). Functional skills will be undertaken at College by applicants without this qualification.

Future prospects: For the right candidate, successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to the offer of full-time employment.

Reality check: You will be working in an office environment on a daily basis.
