A Fantastic opportunity has arisen for the successful candidate to join a Local Gardening business based in Morpeth , whilst working towards gaining their qualification at Level 2 in Horticulture.
The post will include:
You will be expected to be creative and bring new ideas. You will effectively manage customer expectations. You will share knowledge and new ideas where required. You will carry out the work to the required standards with efficiency and quality expected by your supervisor (with support and training). You will be expected to work within the terms and conditions of your contract of employment and adhere to company policies, procedures, instructions, values and behaviours.
Future prospects: Full time employment , In House training with employer ,
Training to be provided: Level 2 Horticulture Standard.
Skills required: Already completed a Level 1 diploma, A passion about Gardening, Understanding of the Horticulture industry, Self-motivated, Excellent Customer Service skills, Works Accurately, be able to work as part of a team. Experience of working in a customer service environment would be advantageous. Good communication skills, team working Keen interest/or knowledge of Horticultural skills
Personal qualities: Passionate about Horticulture, Well spoken, Polite, Pro Active person, Attention to detail, Ability to work under pressure, Good team player, enthusiastic, outgoing, willing to learn, committed to completing the apprenticeship, a good work ethic & hard working, Tenacious and motivated. Good attitude towards learning peers and clients is essential adaptable. Good personality, Works well with others, Willingness to learn.
Reality check:. This is a very busy and high pressured role, therefore attitude and behaviour is a key element for the successful candidate. You will often be working in elderly people’s properties therefore respect and communication is KEY! You must be able to take instructions and act on them appropriately. The company dog Benji the Golden Labrador attends work with you on a daily basis with his owner, therefore you must be willing to be around Benji and have no allergies.
Important Information:
You will be required to work to the terms and conditions of your contract. You may be required to work early morning, late evenings and weekend on occasion.
