Training to be provided: Level 3 Business Admin Apprenticeship

Working week: 30 hours

Weekly wage: £111.00   (30hrs x £3.70)

Vacancy full description: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to work with a small payroll bureau in Chevington, Red Row, Morpeth, who also provides a service to the local authority providing employment support and payroll to people receiving a direct payment to pay for their care.  We help the client recruit their personal assistant and then support them with everything they need to become an employer and running their payroll once everything is in place.

 

You will be working in the office, to carry out duties, including:

  • Open Post
  • Scanning documents
  • Typing Employment contracts
  • Risk Assessments
  • Job Descriptions
  • Setting up electronic files
  • Payroll data input
  • Answering calls and relaying telephone messages, redirecting calls as appropriate
  • Providing and sending out information
  • Scheduling appointments and making cancellations
  • Ensuring that an adequate supply of stationary is available and re-ordering when necessary
  • Filing and retrieving paperwork
  • Performing other duties in accordance with business needs

Skills required: You will be customer focused and possess excellent administration and organisation skills:

  • Excellent telephone and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A good knowledge of Social Media – Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram (Experience of this would be desirable)

  • Team player
  • Confident with the ability to adapt to any given situation
  • Punctuality and reliability is key
  • Competent levels of ICT understanding
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills combined with excellent communication skills
  • Able to deliver excellent customer service, externally and internally
  • Integrate successfully with the existing business, relevant departments and staff

Qualifications required: GCSE Grade A-C in Maths and English (or equivalent). Functional skills will be undertaken at College by applicants without this qualification.

Future prospects: For the right candidate, progression within the company, full time employment.

Reality check: This employer is located outside of public transport routes therefore own transport required, or able to get to work for starting hours.
