Financial Support



If you are aged 16-18 your course will be free and you could be entitled to financial bursaries to help with the cost of studying.*

We can also provide information about free and discounted travel schemes that may be available.

On top of this, the college may be able to offer additional financial help with course related costs, for example, any specialist equipment needed for a course.

* Subject to eligibility criteria. Household income of £25,000 or less


Course fees  

If you have to pay fees as part of your course, assistance could be available if:

  • Your household income of less than £25,000
  • You are in receipt of;
    • Inactive Benefits
    • Income Support
    • Housing Benefit
    • Council Tax Benefit
    • Employment Support Allowance (none work related group)
    • Contribution based Jobseeker's Allowance
    • Working Tax Credit
    • Pension Credit


Free meals

All eligible students may apply for free meals by contacting the Help Hub.


General support

We may be able to help you access student financial support and funding to help with childcare, travel and course costs e.g. equipment, books or uniform.
