Do I need any formal qualifications?

You must demonstrate a willingness to learn, have an enquiring and curious mind and be enthusiastic to learn about Beauty Therapy. You must have a good work ethic applied to learning and the drive and commitment to learn and maintain continual professional development. You must be willing to complete all duties and treatments within the scope of the occupational role in accordance with legal, industry and organisational requirements within commercially viable times, and act with professionalism, without supervision and observe safe working practices to a high level of precision.

What will I study on the course?

You will learn about a range of beauty therapy services including how to select, use, and apply a range of beauty therapy techniques, products, tools and equipment to provide:

- waxing services (legs, underarms, face and bikini line)

- hand and nail treatments

- foot treatments

- facial skin care treatments

- eyelash and eyebrow treatments

- make-up application

- basic massage treatments (back, neck and shoulder)

You will learn how to support the client journey, makes appointments, complete the services and handles payments from clients, comply with legislation and health and safety.

Through on line tests of knowledge and observations of practical skills.

You will study English and/or Maths if you do not already hold these at Level 2.
