Who is the course for?

All ages, in paid employment.

Do I need any formal qualifications?

Capable of completing level 2 maths and English as determined by diagnostic screening.

The entry requirement for this apprenticeship will be decided by each employer, but may typically be five GCSEs at Grade C or higher.

What will I study on the course?

They will gain knowledge on how to:

- Understand different leadership styles and the benefits of coaching to support people and improve performance.

- Performance management techniques including setting goals and objectives, conducting appraisals, reviewing performance, absence management, providing constructive feedback, and recognising achievement and good behaviour.

- Understand different forms of communication and their application.

- Know how to chair meetings, hold challenging conversations, provide constructive feedback and understand how to raise concerns.

Bespoke programmes delivered mainly in the workplace and college attendance at Ashington Campus.

Progress reviews take place every 8 12 weeks. An End Point Assessment made up of Practical Observation, a Knowledge Test and a Professional Discussion Informed by Portfolio.
