Who is the course for?
The countryside management course is designed to give the student a wide range of practical skills and knowledge, enabling them to enter employment in the countryside sector or progress into higher level courses in further education.
The course is designed around local needs and local habitats, many of which are present on the Kirkley estate.
Do I need any formal qualifications?
You will need to have four GCSEs at grade C or above, an Intermediate GNVQ, or a Level 2 Diploma. Mature students and applicants with a significant level of experience will also be considered.
What will I study on the course?
You will study exciting units including ecology and conservation, shoot management, estate skills, Pest and predator control, specialist project study, woodland management and farm habitat management.
