Who is the course for?

This course is for people who are employed in the land based industry, mainly agricultural, forestry or amenity horticulture.

Do I need any formal qualifications?

You will need to an interest in the course and some practical use of machines would be beneficial, but no formal qualifications are necessary.

What will I study on the course?

You will study legal requirements, safe driving techniques, potential dangers of driving on rough terrain and slopes, function of controls, daily maintenance, pre-start checks, driving ATV in a range of different ground conditions with or without trailer, safe parking, cleaning and checking.

The course is covered in one day. The assessment is taken on another day.

Your assessment of competence takes place on a day to be confirmed at the time of booking. It takes I and a half to 2 hours.
