Who is the course for?

This course is for vehicle technicians who are handling, servicing mobile air conditioning systems.

Do I need any formal qualifications?

You will need to have an understanding of vehicle air-conditioning systems and awareness of environment issues relating to the handling and servicing requirements during the recovery and charging the system with refrigerant.

What will I study on the course?

You will study the legal requirements relating to handling and using vehicle refrigerant legally and safely.

You will have a practical assessment followed by a short written question paper and you will have to complete a prior learning pack as part of your portfolio requirements.

Your progress will be assessed by practical and written assessments.

You may have the opportunity to carry out bespoke training which relate to your occupational area.

CG 5101 Refrigerant Handling Certificate (Module 1)

After completing the course you could progress on to: Module 2 Testing and Servicing Mobile A/C Systems. Module 3 Advanced Diagnostics for Mobile A/C automotive air conditioning fundamentals and refrigerant handling
