Who is the course for?

This course is for people who are employed in the land based sector, particularly arboriculture, or those seeking employment in this field.

Do I need any formal qualifications?

You will need to have the NPTC Certificate of Competences - 0020-12 plus 0020-13

What will I study on the course?

You will study identifying, inspecting and commenting upon key parts of the equipment to be used, preparing the equipment for use, ensuring the safety of themselves, other people and the environment, operating a chainsaw whilst maintaining a working position within the crown of a tree using a rope and harness.

The course runs for three days and assessment takes place on a different day.

Your progress will be assessed on a separate day to be confirmed at the time of booking, this will take 2 hours

After completing the course you could apply for another Certificate of Competence training course.
