This practical course leads to the British Wool Marketing Board Blue Seal Shearing Award and is suited to those new to the skills and techniques involved in this age old craft.

What will I study on the course?
This course covers: The reason for shearing, Equipment used, Shearing techniques, Practical experience and Aftercare. Candidates are required to come suitable dressed to be around livestock.

This short course runs for 6 hours.

You will receive theoretical and practical guidance from the tutor throughout the course.
Can I gain any extra qualifications while on the course?
No, however you may wish to study another short course with us or join one of our longer courses which will gain you a qualification.
What final qualification will I get if I am successful?
