Introduction

Taking the step from school to college is the first step into adult life and here at Northumberland College we make sure you experience a welcoming, supportive and friendly environment in which to study, learn and thrive.

We have a great range of courses for those leaving school at 16 or 18, from entry level right up to HNDs and Foundation Degrees, so no matter what your qualifications we can help you get where you want to be.

Our range of vocational courses taught by tutors with industry experience and in realistic working environments, give you a real taste for your chosen future career.

See our Apprenticeships section for more info. To find the course that is best for you visit our course finder or look through our subject areas in the school leaver menu.

If you're confused about what to after leaving school our student advisors will be more than happy to chat through your options with you. Drop into our Info Zone at the Ashington or Kirkley Hall campuses, telephone 01670 841200 or email advice.centre@northland.ac.uk

Weather forces college closures

Northumberland College was forced to close its centres this morning (Thursday) due to the ongoing snow.

All students are advised that there will be no lessons this afternoon or evening at any centres. The college expects to open as normal again tomorrow (Friday).

The college phone system is currently down, so we are unable to take any calls.

Engineers are working hard to fix the problem and hope to have the system back up and running soon. In the meantime, you can email advice.centre@northland.ac.uk or use the Live support service via the button on this home page to access our contact centre staff.

Apologies for any inconvenience.
