Here at Northumberland College we believe that as we are part of Europe and indeed the world, we should prepare our students to work anywhere they may find a job available.
You will find that studying at Northumberland College often provides you with the chance to travel to other countries as part of your course, and find out what it’s like to be a student in that country.
You may also have the chance to do a work placement abroad in your subject area, providing you with new knowledge and skills and improving your chances of employment back here in the UK.
Some courses have developed partnerships with similar courses at colleges in other countries, so that students in each country can work together on a topic of common interest, via the internet and even by visits to each other.
And even more good news is that all of these opportunities to travel and see other countries and colleges are free to students, thanks to organisations like the British Council who finance the college to develop these opportunities.
The college currently has partner colleges and organisations in Norway, Finland, Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Denmark, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Estonia and Lithuania, and worldwide, has recently developed a link with Sri Lanka.
So if you decide to study at Northumberland College you may end up going further than you thought!
