Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens


 

Our Kirkley Hall campusin Northumberland boasts a zoo, Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens with over 130 species of animals including emus, wallabies, marmosets, pygmy goats, donkeys, meerkats, reptiles and many more.

The zoo creates a fantastic learning facility and realistic working environment for our animal care and veterinary nursing students. They have access to a wide range of domestic and exotic animals giving students valuable insight into different species to benefit students on their college training course and for future job roles.


Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens is also a popular North East visitor attraction open to the public on weekends and holidays. Visitors can meet the keepers and learn about the animals and their habitats. With a rolling programme of kids' activities and play areas, forest trails, garden walks, picnic areas and a tea room and gift shop creating a great family day out.
