How to get here


 

All of our campuses are just a bus or train ride away for people in Northumberland and Tyne and Wear.

Our dedicated transport network provides free transport for 16-18 year olds across the County of Northumberland and Tyne and Wear, to its campuses at Ashington, Kirkley Hall, Hexham and Berwick.

We have invested in a network of dedicated bus routes running the length and breadth of the County and free bus passes with public service providers.

Getting to Ashington

500 - Cramlington to Ashington - via Guidepost and Stakeford

501 - East Cramlington to Ashington - via Blyth and Cambois

502 - Amble to Ashington - via Newbiggin

503 - Alnwick to Ashington - via Morpeth Station (connecting to Ashington to Kirkley service (600))

504 - Coastal Route to Ashington (A19 Corridor)

Getting to Kirkley Hall

600 - Newbiggin to Kirkley Hall via Ashington Stakeford and Morpeth Station

601 - Bedlington to Kirkley Hall via Blyth, Cramlington

602 - A69 Corridor to Kirkley Hall including Newcastle Airport (to be finalised)

603 - North Tyneside to Kirkley via Wallsend, Tynemouth, Whitley Bay (to be finalised) - Please note this service will connect to Metro Stations along this route to facilitate links from Tyne and Wear learners.

The X79 will continue to provide a service into Kirkley Hall from Newcastle and will be free to all 16-18 year olds.

Getting to Berwick

16-18 year olds living in England will get free transport to this centre!

Getting to Hexham

10 - Metrocentre to Hexham

685 - Carlisle to Newcastle

74 - Ponteland to Hexham

Trains are available from Newcastle and Carlisle.

By car

If you plan on bringing your car to college, we have free parking on-site at our Ashington and Kirkley Hall campuses.

 

All college services are flexible and if you see a route near you will do our best to create an accessible pickup point!

Services will also link with local bus, rail and metro stations for those learners outside of these services
