Health And Social Care

Health and social care

If you are considering a career in health and social care or are currently employed in the sector, we offer a range of learning opportunities to help you achieve your ideal job.

Our full time, part time and short courses range from entry level to level 3. Flexible learning options are available, with choices of daytime, evening or work based learning.

Our courses offer opportunities to progress in your current career, continue studies at university or prepare for entry into health and social care positions in nursing, mental health, counselling or allied health professions like occupational therapy.

Our experienced team of highly qualified tutors have been practitioners in these fields and now deliver externally validated courses that are accredited to national standards.

We work closely with professional organisations, employers and higher education institutions and have many links with local health service providers.

While you study with us you can gain valuable work experience on placements at a range of health and care organisations and extend your vocational experience through a range of certificated short courses, including first aid.

We also offer Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships in health and social care. Contact advice.centre@northland.ac.uk or 01670 841200 for more details.
