

Northumberland College offers a wide range of learning opportunities for people looking to begin or progress in a career in the children and young people’s workforce.
There are many opportunities in this rewarding sector and training with Northumberland College could help you qualify to work in children’s centres, crèches, pre-schools, day nurseries, or as teaching assistants in schools.
We have a well qualified, experienced team of tutors who deliver externally validated courses to very high standards and work closely with professional organisations, employers and higher education institutions to make sure our training is up to date and relevant for the workplace.
CACHE (Council for Awards in Children’s Care and Education) qualifications give you the skills, knowledge and capacity to pursue a career in the children and young people’s workforce.
Many courses are offered part time either in the evenings or during the day so you can study at a time convenient to you. We run courses at our main Ashington campus and at our centres in Berwick centre.
