We have a wide range of arboriculture courses to choose from. All of our courses will equip you with the knowledge, expertise, skills and experience needed for your career in tree care.

Courses focus on all aspects of tree care, including the production, establishment and management of trees in the urban environment.

When you study at Northumberland College our grounds at Kirkley Hall will provide you with access to a wide range of native and exotic trees for identification purposes and the opportunity to carry out an extensive variety of tree management practices. The grounds include the National Fagus (Beech Tree) Collection. We also have a wide range of specialist equipment and machinery in our arboriculture unit, with a workshop and storage areas.

Job opportunities in this field include tree surgeons, council tree officers and working for landscaping companies.
