Northumberland College offers a wide range of Higher Education Foundation Courses (HEFC), which are perfect for those who want to study at university after a break from education.
Our varied collection of HEFC subjects include social welfare, human biology and psychology and each offers a stepping stone to a number of university courses. Each HEFC single subject is a level 3 qualification and may be viewed by universities as being similar to an A Level.
Many of our HEFC students go on to continue their studies at university, or join one of the college's higher education courses.
