Welcome to the Land and Environment Academy.
Based at our Kirkley Hall Campus the Academy offers all levels of training in Agriculture, Arboriculture, Landscaping and Horticulture as well as Countryside Management, Game Management and Floristry.
We utilize the full college estate, its fields, farm, woodlands
and wetlands , river habitats and exceptional formal and
natural gardens so that we can offer you unique opportunities
and real life, work experiences and skills that will help you gain
employment and stay with you for all of your working life.
We ensure that all our students learn to manage the environment
around them, growing and tending plants and animals and learning
how to manage the economics of their chosen careers. They will gain
skills that will get them a job at the end of their course or allow
them to continue on to higher levels of training. They will work
with the latest equipment and technology along with learning
practical skills some of which are traditional and will have not
changed for centuries. The teaching team here at the Academy are
highly motivated and skilled tutors who know all their students and
help each one to develop and achieve beyond their goals.
